This is a good wine that can hold its own among some far more expensive bottlings. It’s ripe in currants and cassis, and well-oaked, with elaborate tannins. The mouth impression is of elegance, intensity and balance.
This most welcome wine helps to prove that good, priceworthy Cabernet still can be found. It frames its moderately deep and well-defined fruit with a nice bit of oak and adds in touches of briar and loam. It is smooth on the palate but lacks nothing for spine and is sustained at the finish.
