Young, dark and concentrated, with sharply focused currant, black cherry, plum and spicy flavors, smooth, supple tannins and a long, rich aftertaste. Tempting now, but worthy of cellaring, too. Best after 2002.
The outstanding 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Morisoli Vineyard is not quite ready for prime time drinking. It possesses a healthy dark ruby/purple color, enticing, sweet cassis, cedar, and, found in St.-Julien and Pauillac offerings. The wine needs another 2-3 years of cellaring, but it should evolve gracefully for 10-15 years. It is a fine example of this impressive vintage.
