Tasting Notes

According to the Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good medium ruby. Aromas of roasted black raspberry, minerals, flowers, licorice and pepper. Sweet, dense and juicy, but still a bit youthfully tight in the middle palate. Finishes with a flavor of dark chocolate..." (May/Jun 03) According to the Wine Spectator: "Smooth, with ripe cherry, herb, mint and mocha scents, it turns creamy and complex, impressive for its elegant, silky mouthfeel. Drink now through 2007." (04/04) And Wine Enthusiast writes: "From a cool area, a lovely, intricately detailed wine. It has lots of cherry, cola, herb and coffee notes, and is very dry. Complex and elegant, this wine turns tannic on the finish, and should age well through the decade." (05/04)
