Brilliant yellow color. Musky aromas of ginger, roasted nuts and honey. Wonderfully large-scaled, round and ripe, conveying a powerful sense of solidity. Tactile, sweet and extremely complex, with honeyed soil tones currently dominating stone fruit and mineral flavors. Finishes dry and classic, with outstanding breadth. Today this seems fresher and fruitier than the 2004 Laville Haut-Brion. (ST)

Has lemon and mineral aromas, with light vanilla, honey, cream and white pepper. Full-bodied, firm and racy, with a lovely balance of ripe fruit and acidity. Long and complex. (Web Only-2008) (JS)
