This Edna Valley Pinot Noir smells savory and spicy, with some tart red fruit to complement the rustic earthiness on the palate. Made from grapes grown at Chamisal, the first vineyard in the Edna Valley, which was replanted to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay by Domaine Alfred owner and winemaker Terry Speizer in 1996. Aged for 10 months, sur lies, this wine saw about 60% new French oak and is unfined and unfiltered.
