Right off the bat you can taste the acidity in this wine, which is brighter and crisper than, say, the winery’s Russian River Pinot. The tartness lifts the black cherry, cherry and raspberry flavors, heightening their impact through the long, spicy finish. Still, it’s a wine for early drinking.
Trim, compact and delicate, with detailed cherry, mineral, sage, herb and plum flavors shaded by a hint of toasty oak on the finish.
The nose is slightly fresher and brighter with slightly deeper aromas of red Pinot fruity and hints of earth and underbrush preceding sweet, intense and vibrant flavors that aren't especially complex but possess good finish pop and I like the energy here.
Medium red with a pale rim. Nose combines cherry, mocha, spices and underbrush. Aromatic, ripe and spicy in the mouth, with flavors of cherry, raspberry and orange peel. This perfumed, sweet wine could not be anything but Pinot. Offers a refreshing coolness for the year.
