*Cellar Selection* A fantastic Cabernet that stuns now for authenticity and power, and should develop for many years. Despite the large production, lower than that of many first growth Bordeaux, the wine, which has tiny amounts of Cab Franc and Petit Verdot, shows classic Oakville elegance and precision. Rich in black currants, blackberries, cherries and dark chocolate, it should hit its stride from 2011 through 2017.
A textural pleasure, this is a dense, supple cabernet built for steak. As a young wine, the flavors are mainly from the tannin, with the smokines and chocolate richness derived from aging in oak. Save it for closing a deal.
