The 2006 Zinfandel Dry Creek has turned out even better than I expected. Copious quantities of sweet earth, black raspberries, and sweet cherries, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and a silky, lush texture make for a prodigious Zinfandel. (RP)
This is that rare Zin that offers structure and a rich, fleshy texture. Has bold aromas of wild berry cobbler, fresh sage and pepper, with layered boysenberry, cinnamon and licorice flavors that finish with firm but ripe tannins. (JL)
Inky violet. Ripe blackberry and smoked meat aromas are complemented by cracked pepper, fresh flowers and baking spices. Round and velvety, with deep dark berry flavors, soft tannins and slow-mounting spiciness. Gains weight and grip on the long, sappy finish. This will repay patience. (ST) 90+
