North Shore's Gin No. 6 is extremely smooth, with a complex balance of citrus, spice and floral notes. North Shore creates No. 6 (90 proof) by infusing their grain-based spirit with hand-selected botanicals from all over the world, along with fresh lemon zest and lavender blossoms. If you have never tasted this gin, or you think you don't like gin, we strongly recommend trying it neat (straight) before mixing it into a cocktail or martini. This will allow you to smell and taste its complex nature. We know you will be amazed at how much you like it. Distiller's Gin No. 6 is fantastic in a traditional martini; we recommend an 8:1 ratio of gin to vermouth, although this gin works well with more vermouth if you like it that way. 95 points and a Gold Medal/Exceptional Rating from the Beverage Testing Institute: "Clear with a platinum cast. Vibrant aromas of fresh herbs and spices, piney juniper, and twisted lemon peels jump from the glass. A silky entry leads to a fruity-yet-dry medium-full body of bold cracked juniper berry, pink peppercorns, lemon curd, clove, and pastry frosting flavors. Finishes with a long interplay of resiny juniper, sweet citrus and brown spices. A superb gin that virtually bristles with fresh, 3-D flavors. Very impressive!" (2008)

This top-notch gin made was a fabulous partner to tonic last night. With a strong hint of rosemary and winter spice, I found it to be incredibly refreshing and all to easy too drink. It took a lot of self discipline to only have one! This is a must in the cabinet of any gin lover.

Incredible. Did a gin taste test the other day with Hendricks, Citadelle, North Shore No. 6, North Shore No. 11 and Plymouth, and straight up, didn't love No 6 at all, too vegetal and herbaceous. Made a martini with it today, it was magical. Sharp, clear, with

I am loving the No 6. They market it as a gin that even non gin lovers will appreciate but there is plenty here for picky gin types. Subtle floral, spice, citrus and juniper flavors, all well balanced. I've not had a G&T yet but it did make a fine French 75 (gin version.) The finish is so incredibly smooth that I've been drinking it neat as opposed to mixed or on the rocks.

If you want something that packs more traditional punch, try the North Shore #11. i was reading the reviews here and one of them (McGrath) used "this is more about grace than force" to beautifully describe #11 and I think it applies even more so to the #6

I was supremely disappointed in this purchase. I drink quite a bit of gin and usually martinis and the "spice" in this gin was overwhelming. My wife, who also quite likes gin, had one and said I wish you had bought Hendricks or Tanqueray. Ouch.
