Senechaux’s 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape is one sexy Chateauneuf that has notes of ripe black cherries, garrigue and flowers soaring from the glass. Ripe, full-bodied and showing the purity, complexity and seamlessness that’s the hallmark of this vintage (and the estate), it’s drinking at point but will keep for another 7-8 years with no issues. (JD)
Fresh, pure and well-defined, with a beam of dark currant, fig and boysenberry fruit kept honest by graphite and black tea notes. The seamless finish sails on. Drink now through 2022. (JM)
Deep red with a bright rim. Fresh red berry and spicecake aromas lifted by a floral nuance. Juicy, finely etched raspberry and cherry flavors provide very good palate coverage and are braced by tangy minerality. Gains weight with air and finishes long, with a sweet note of black raspberry. (JR)

This is a wonderfully juicy full bodied CDP. A smooth wine with lots of cherry and licorice flavors. It can be had with food or just by itself. I should have brought some more.
