Dense purple-crimson; the bouquet is redolent of black fruits and licorice, the full-bodied palate a masterpiece of winemaking, rich and thickly textured on the mid-palate, then slimming down on the finish, with savoury notes inviting the next glass.
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2008 Amon-Ra opens with profound aromas of black berry compote, baking spices, smoked bacon with a whiff of anise and some fertile loam. The palate is full-bodied and concentrated with very full and rich warm berry flavors lifted by very lively acid. The tannins are medium to firm and velvety on the long finish. Drink it now to 2022+.
