The 2006 Pinot Noir Aidan shows sweet tannin, with notes of crushed rock, black cherry, raspberry, smoked meats, and forest floor. It has a nice sweetness, medium to full body, and soft, silky tannins. It is much more forward than the 2005 and should drink well for 5-6 years.
Deep, bright red. Spicy aromas of redcurrant and cherry are underscored by smoky minerals. Broad but focused, offering sweet red fruit flavors, supple texture and fully absorbed tannins. A floral note arrives with air and carries through the very long, gently sweet finish. These vines are just seven or eight years old, according to winemaker Smith.
