The 2008 Pinot Noir Le Caprice, which comes from the Reuling Vineyard, reveals smoky black cherry, raspberry, and spring flower aromas. The wine is fresh and medium to full-bodied with good acidity and outstanding length. Vivid red. Spicy raspberry and cherry-cola aromas are complicated by dried rose, incense and smoky minerals. Fresh, gently sweet and assertive, with spicy red and dark berry flavors and a lively mineral quality. Deeper notes of cola and Indian spices arrive on the finish, which is juicy, precise and very long. This is delicious now but the acidity bodes well for aging. (ST)
