The dense ruby/purple-colored 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits notes of barrique smells intermixed with blueberry, blackberry, and a hint of spring flowers. The wine is medium to full-bodied and has super-purity, sweet tannins for this vintage, and decent acidity. It should drink nicely for at least 10-15 or more years. There are just under 1,000 cases each of these cuvees of Cabernet Sauvignon (each is blended with tiny percentages of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot) from a vineyard behind the town of St. Helena, adjacent to the foothills of the Mayacamas Mountains.
