Lots of toasty oak on the nose. Rich and concentrated on the palate with some tannin in the finish. This is an excellent buy for mid-term cellaring. Famous wine critic Robert Parker... 'This perennial overachiever has turned out an attractive 1994, with a dark purple color, a sweet, plummy, herb, mineral, and spice-scented nose, powerful, medium to full-bodied, concentrated flavors with adequate acidity and moderate tannin. The wine has a certain precociousness, as well as ripe fruit and good balance. It should drink well for 12-15 years.'
