Tasting Notes

According to Robert Parker: "Recent vintages of Gloria have pushed the level of quality even higher. There is no doubting this cunningly made wine that offers mouthfilling levels of black cherry, herb-tinged, cassis fruit. There is plenty of glycerin in this velvety-textured, medium-bodied Gloria. Pure, plump, and succulent, it is all a young, exuberant claret should be... A sleeper of the vintage." (04/98)

Another great value from the infamous 1997 vintage in Bordeaux. I should say famous for K&L as we sold more bottles of 1997 Bordeaux than any other vintage until 2009 vintage. And the wines from St Julien are amazingly delicious. Langoa, Leoville Barton, Branaire, and now Gloria. Thes are perfect "restaurant" wines-wines that taste good now. Plenty of red fruit flavors and very rounded tannins. The wine is elegant and not for those who love big California Cabernets. Enjoy with your steak this weekend or with your hamburger this Tuesday. I stand by this 100%. Clyde
