Bonville’s delicate, visually-stunning rosé is here in a size perfect for bigger celebrations. This release is delicious and elegant, but also substantial: Franck Bonville Brut Rosé Champagne feels important, with quality that far exceeds its price point. Mainly Avize fruit but featuring 8% Pinot Noir from Grand Cru village of Ambonnay, this crisp rosé features vivid red fruit on the nose but finishes fresh, with the linear snap expected of 92% Chardonnay, mostly from the colder 2011 vintage. There is electric acidity on the palate but also a plusher component thanks to a luxuriously fine bead. Luxurious, dry, and easydrinking – this is a rosé I’ve returned to again and again, and the magnum just makes it even more special.
