Pale, bright yellow. Musky white peach and pear aromas complicated by nuances of tangerine, menthol, stone and flowers. Juicy, pure and intense, showing lovely vibrancy and inner-mouth tension. This classic Chassagne finishes gripping and long, with flavors of white peach and white flowers. An excellent village wine, and much more bracing than a sample I tasted from barrel a year ago. (ST)
Niellon’s 2010 Chassagne-Montrachet is soft, floral and quite pretty. This is a decidedly easygoing, approachable style for the year and village. (AG)
This white offers fine balance between the creamy texture and vibrant acidity, showing melon, apple, citrus and spice flavors. Fine length. Drink now through 2018. (BS, Web-2013)
