This shows flavors of jammy raspberry and cherry. The acidity is fantastic and so are the tannins, and the mouthfeel is silky and racy. It’s an elegant Pinot Noir for drinking over the next 5-6 years.
*One Star* This one strikes us as having a little more fruity muscle and mass right from the start, and its dense, decidedly extracted and slightly backward aromas are matched step for step by its similarly tight, but very generously filled flavors. The wine is quite firm and close to sturdy in structure without being crude or even hinting at coarseness, and its focus on keen Pinot fruit is absolutely unwavering. Hasty drinking is not advised for this is a serious and eminently age-worthy wine whose very best lies some years ahead.
Warm, cherry liqueur flavors carry through this wine, melding tart cherry with sweeter root vegetable tones. The tannins are gentle, leaving the fruit to last on its own. For roast beef.
A delicate style marked by mineral-laced raspberry and black cherry flavors that are fine-grained and refined. A style that will benefit from short-term cellaring. (JL, Web-2013)
