Emerson Brown is a partnership between Keith Emerson of Vineyard 29 and Brian Brown of Round Pond. Their Oakville Cabernet is sourced from a single, dry-farmed vineyard and the winemaking style seeks to emphasize a wine of aromatic elegance and classic structure rather than raw power. From the winery: "Multiple layers of blue-black fruits that progress from a lively entry of boysenberry and cassis to dusty characters of violet and dried lavender. Lengthy and broad on the palate the wine’s dark core is complemented by sweet vanillin, clove and toasted almonds from the French oak. Satiny and supple tannins give this wine a long and linger."
