Crushed flowers, sweet red berries and spices are some of the notes that emerge from the 2013 Lafleur-Gazin. A soft, graceful wine, the 2013 possesses good overall balance, but only modest depth, something that is quite evident on the finish, where the drying tannins are pronounced. (AG)
Satisfyingly complete on the nose -- ripe black fruit, leather, cedar and bitter chocolate. A good brush of tannin on the finish, all in balance. Very nicely done. 17/20 points. Drink 2017 to 2027.
Dark ruby-red. Coffee, dark plum and strawberry on the simple nose. Very clean, minty red berry flavors show more density than many other Pomerols in 2013. Finishes moderately persistent and refined, with a hint of leafiness. (ID)
Fresh and lightly structured, this is a crisp wine with tight acidity and black-currant fruitiness. A stalky element gives the wine a cool character. It will be ready to drink from 2017. (RV)
Tasty, with juicy raspberry and boysenberry coulis flavors that stay racy through the anise- and savory-edged finish. Not big, but fresh and pure. This takes what the vintage gave. (JM, Web-2016)
