Stéphane Othéguy is a small producer whose wines are seldom-seen in the US. He holds 1 hectare of vines in Côte-Rôtie, and Les Massales is a special bottling from 50-60 year old vineyards on the lieu-dits Leyat and Bonivière. The vines are a historic selection of Syrah locally known as Sérine, which used to be much more common but now only makes up 10% of the Côte-Rôtie vineyards.
