    No idea how we got the price this low, but the 2010 Zaca Mesa Syrah was well worth the $20 that it used to go for. Now it's an incredible deal. Dusty, savory spice is present, along with blackberry and plum fruit notes. It's rich, full-bodied, and probably at its peak right now. Definitely one of our best deals at the moment.

    A veritable raft of blueberries and blackberries, a suave pinch of baking spice, violet pastilles and vanilla all deliver the goods in this indulgent, pleasure-packed Syrah. With its voraciously voluminous fruit and engaging gorgeousness I marvel that whole herds, er, flocks of hungry, ravenous blackbirds never made a desperate, feathered assault on the Zaca Mesa estate vineyards, but don't ask why or wait, just sink your clever talons into a case or two before your next gathering of the human flock. It will be gone before you can say 'Birdman wins the Oscar'....I said it here first.....

    A lush blueberry pie combined with hints of smoked meat, cinnamon,vanilla and cedar. There is a lot of wine here for the price and like the Andrew Murray Syrah we e-mailed a month or so ago, not to be missed.

    Drinking superbly right now this 2010 Santa Ynez Syrah hits all the high notes. Bursting out of the glass with wild-berries, figs, speck, and peppered dark chocolate. This Syrah is classic yet lifted and oh, soo plush. Just the right amount of juicy acid leaving the palate full but not too weighty, as well as being super food-friendly! BBQ ribs anyone?

    A supple and full-bodied wine, this is what Syrah should be! Almost feeling like a mixture of both California and Northern Rhone styles, this starts off with a nose of dark fruit and white pepper, and features a weighty mouthfeel that includes blackberry, cassis, spicebox, and herbal meats. A long finish and solid acidity makes this an excellent choice for a rich meal.
