Ripe but focused, this has a massive structure yet manages to remain elegant. A wine to put away for decades. From an exclusive vineyard owned only by Coste-Caumartin. *Top 100 of 1992*
The 1990 Pommard 1er Cru Les Clos des Boucherottes has more finesse and complexity on the nose than the village cru, with black currant, wild strawberry, incense and dried flower aromas that remain attractive. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chewy tannins on the entry. (NM)
