The 2013 Limerick Lane Vineyard sheds plenty of light on what makes this site in the Russian River Valley so compelling. Iron, smoke, red stone fruits, cherry pit, grilled herbs and flowers show plenty of brightness from the acidity that is such a signature here. The 2013 is absolutely striking for its nuance, delineation and overall vibrancy. (AG)
From vines planted in 1910, and cropped at less than 1.5 tons of fruit per acre, the Bilbro family (the owners of Limerick Lane) give enough fruit to Peterson to make his 2013 Zinfandel Limerick Lane (only 125 cases produced). It exhibits lots of peppery, charcuterie and meaty notes intermixed with red and blackberries, baking spices and earth in its medium-bodied, elegant style. (RP)
