An alluring estate Riesling, featuring floral, grapefruit, orange and stone notes. Fine harmony and length fill out the profile. Drink now through 2015. (BS)
Fine, fine texture and lovely lemon purity made more complex by clear minerality. Elegant and long. Good value. (JH) 16.5 Points
The generic Donnhoff 2007 Riesling - as usual, sourced from Oberhauser Felsenberg and Kieselberg - features bittersweet herbal, citrus zest, and berry flavors in a surprisingly creamy yet refreshing medium that reminds me of the virtues of Pinot Blanc. Almost needless to say about this cuvee, the balance of sweetness is impeccable and the residual sugar barely noticeable (although in its early spring states this wine was as yet unknit). Enjoy it over the coming 4-6 years. (DS)
