Another four casks of Four Roses Bourbon are upon us, this time around a nice range of various ages and styles to showcase the diversity from one of Kentucky's finest institutions. The OESO formula clocks in at 11 years and 3 months, making it the oldest of the gang. It's easily the richest of the bunch with healthy dose of new oak and brandied cherries on the initial sip, but that richness quickly turns to spice and pepper about halfway through the experience and morphs from there into classic flavors of pencil shavings and toasted wood. At 54.1% it still packs a punch, and of all the casks this one evaporated the most, yielding less than 100 total bottles from the final tally. It's a lovely whiskey and should please fans of both the distillery and Bourbon in general.
