We keep getting in these amazing direct import Armagnacs and I feel it is rather unfair—because it is hard to choose. Nevertheless when I tasted this one from 1986 I responded immediately to it. Rich caramels in the nose are also found in the body layered with notes of butterscotch and a hint of dark cheery pit. Although this is a rich decedent Armagnac, it is still really well balanced and super smooth. Low heat on the finish means that this might go down a little too easily.
