Not as upfront nor charming as the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa, the sensational 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Nomad is a hussy of a wine, It boasts an opaque purple color as well as a sexy perfume of camphor, barbecue smoke, blackberries, cassis and graphite. Full-bodied and concentrated with decent acidity, high but sweet, well-integrated tannins and a multidimensional mid-palate and finish, this exquisite Cabernet Sauvignon can be drunk over the next 15+ years (RP).
Bright saturated ruby. Ripe aromas of blackberry, boysenberry and bitter chocolate lifted by sexy oak spices. Suave and fine-grained, with dark berry and dark chocolate flavors complicated by herbs and minerals. Nothing at all roasted or over the top about this Cabernet. Accessible now but has a firm tannic spine to support a leisurely evolution in bottle. A touch herbal but in a positive, refreshing way. This wine was a very pleasant surprise in my tasting, as I had no previous experience with this producer. (ST)
