Not your typical California SB. Yes it has plenty of citrus fruit, a faint whiff of grassiness, a hint of vanilla. It is light bodied, with a little extra texture from lees contact, but there is more extract. There is a darker, almost apricot-like note, with snap and texture. While this would be a great aperitif, this is an even better dinner wine.
