Produced from vines located in the Chatelots and Feusselottes vineyards, this medium-to-dark ruby-colored wine exhibits smoke, roses, minerals, and blueberries on the nose. This medium-to-full-bodied, elegant, extremely well-balanced, silky-textured, and seductive wine is rich, dense, and focused. Spiced apples, cherries, black raspberries, and hints of new oak can be found in its enthralling flavor profile and in its admirably long finish. (PR)
Saturated deep ruby color. Slightly reduced, deep aromas of blackberry, roast coffee and smoky oak. Dense and layered but quite tightly wound and unevolved today. Has the material and mineral underpinning to support the oak and buffer the firm tannins. Subtle, slow building finish. Even in this copious vintage, the yield here was just 25 h/h, according to Meunier. (ST)
