It's no secret why the second label of famed Willamette Valley winery Elk Cove is one of our best selling domestic Pinot Noirs. A bargain considering the quality of fruit they are using (both estate and sourced fruit) in the winemaking process. Dark cherry aromas intermingle with red berries and potting soil. On the palate, light red cherry flavors play with dried herbal notes and a lively elevated acidity. A polished, clean finish. The price is right for this wine; a great choice for weekday dinner with white meat or fish.

This is one heck of a second label! Sourced from neighbors and their own estate vineyards, there is some high end fruit packed into this sub-$18 bottle. Bright red fruit, fresh picked herbs, and just enough oak shows on this seamless, easy drinking Pinot. It is a no brainer for the midweek meal or any get together!

Visited the immaculate, breathtaking Elk Cove vineyards in Willamette Valley a few years back, and combined with the hospitality and personable charm of winemaker Adam Campbell, I was struck by the brilliant quality and artistry of their top estate wines. Fortunately they created a second label in 2014 that has proven to be one of our best-selling domestic Pinot Noirs— a bright, exuberant and friendly blend of estate and sourced fruit that will appeal to anyone seeking a smooth, effortlessly enjoyable Pinot with with impeccable flavor and plenty of red-fruited charm on the well-rounded, polished finish. A welcome delight, and priced just right.

One of my favorite Oregon producers, Elk Cove, makes the Pike Road Pinot Noir as a second, super affordable label, and it happens to be one of the best values in the store. In a world where good Pinot is almost impossible to find under $20, the Pike Road is here to provide all the elegant red fruits, tea leaves, fresh herbs, and round, integrated acidity typically found in bottles twice the price. Pair with your next herb-crusted pork loin or salmon.

Fans of the great wines of Elk Cove will love this bargain priced bottle they source from estate and purchased fruit. This has the balance, complexity and finesse you expect from this overachieving property but at less than half the price of their single vineyard offerings. Serious bang for the buck here.

This is for sure on the best wines for Thanksgiving dinner and for everyone who loves Oregon Pinot Noir. Extremely silky smooth and juicy. This wine glides on your palate with an ease and lingers on the finish for a long time. Lush black cherry and raspberry fruit are complemented by notes of cocoa.

The Pike Road captures the essence of Willamette Valley but also provides an inviting and polished red-fruited awesomeness. This is easily one of the best buys in Pinot right now from anywhere!

A new value priced label from the good folks at Elk Cove Vineyards. A mix of estate and purchased fruit with the idea of providing honest Willamette Valley Pinot Noir at an affordable price. 2014 was a perfect choice for an inaugural vintage, with near ideal growing conditions and a large crop of ripe fruit. A seamless integration of fruit and oak with plenty of bright red fruits, tart cherry, cranberry and raspberry. Lightly spicy with good balance and structure. Soft and round and forward in style. Just pop (or twist!) and pour.

One of the best Pinot Noirs in stock under $20! Pike Road Pinot Noir is made by Elk Cove, and bears many similarities to their Willamette Valley bottling, though with a lighter, fresher style. Elegant red berry fruit bursts pleasantly on the palate, with clean, fresh acidity and fine-grained tannin lending structure to the whole. Eminently easy-drinking and versatile, this may well be your next go-to Pinot!

Great everyday drinking Pinot that is a second label to the well known Elk Cove producer. Made with 100% Willamette Valley grapes this wine has more structure and acid than your average California Pinot. It has cranberry flavors on the pallet and the nose and an herbal finish. A excellent value wine for week night dinners or for your next BBQ!
