While traveling through Umbria this past May we tasted a surprising number of good wines but this one certainly made a lasting impression upon us. By combining Pinot Bianco and Viognier with traditional Orvieto grapes, the Antinori family has crafted a very special wine. Pleasant aromas of lemon oil, minerals and honey are followed by a medium-bodied palate of rich honied fruit. There's a touch of sweetness as well which makes this perfect as an aperitif. However, the wine is also delicious with shrimp, scallops, white fishes, vegetable dishes and lighter fare.
