Bonarda, which happens to be the same grape as Charbono, is still very commonly grown in Argentina. This example is fantastic: dark fruits and cracked black pepper aromas lead to a nicely dry, structured palate of mixed dark fruits with just a hint of candied violets. If you're in the shop, just ask for the Chilean red with the dapper donkeys in the three piece suits!
