The nose is finely packed with harmoniously integrated aromas of white stonefruits, mealy notes, lemon-curd MLF, creamy barrel-ferment elements, nutty oak and complexing oxidative nuances. This is refined on the nose and the aromatic intensity builds with aeration. Medium-bodied, the palate possesses rich flavours of white stonefruits, biscuits, lemon-curd MLF, and creamy, nutty, oak and barrel-ferment notes, forming a softly concentrated core. The palate is soft-textured and has a smooth linearity with underlying power, and balanced, integrated acidity. Layers of detail and complexing interest unfold and lead to a sustained finish of stonefruits, lemon-curd and nuts. This is a rich, elegant Chardonnay with integrated flavours of stonefruits, lemon-curd MLF, creamy and nutty oak complexities. Match with poultry and pork over the next 4-5+ years. Predominantly Mendoza clone and some clone 16 fruit from 35+ y.o. vines in the 'Home' block, fermented in demi-muids to 13.4% alc., the wine aged 11 months on lees in 50% new oak with 100% MLF.
