This wine is just flat out delicious. It quenches my white wine thirst like a glass of cold lemonade does on a hot day, and it's likely one of the best whites I've ever tasted from South America. Picture the mineral drive of a great Chablis, but with the acidity and juiciness New Zealand style citrus, and that's pretty much the Errazuriz in a nutshell. Clean, focused, and expressive lemon flavors with stone fruit roundness on the finish, plenty of zest on the finish. I don't care what kind of white wine you like to drink, be it Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, or even dry Riesling, this is one of those "don't miss out" kind of wines; a wine that you've never heard of that comes out of nowhere and shocks the heck out of you.

This is one of my favorite Chardonnays I've encountered from this South America. Bright, zippy and tangy, but with excellent texture and depth, this wine is well-poised and full of interesting flavors. Easily one of my favorite white wines in stock right now, and its well-worth picking up at this great price if you're looking for something new to try.

We have had some terrific finds of late for serious value Chardonnay in Chile's Aconcagua Costa DO. Here, in addition to the coastal influence, you have interesting and complex soil types, loaded with schist, which appear to give the wines a certain drive and freshness. This 2014 from Errazuriz is no exception. A nose of Yellow Delicious apples gives way to a palate full of crunchy, appley, lemony fruit, with an overall linear and lean quality that almost seem to suggest Burgundy more so than New World. In fact, I tasted this an hour ago next to Paul Pernot Bourgogne (yes, Paul Pernot of Puligny-Montrachet fame) and it more than held its own. If you love Chardonnay, this ought to be in your glass.
