The 2014 Puligny-Montrachet Le Trezin, a late ripening vineyard because of its altitude, has a well defined, engaging bouquet with a touch of flint and smoke lending it an almost Chablis-like personality. The palate is clean and fresh with a touch of fatness on the entry that is surprising. Driven by a keen line of acidity and plenty of spicy lemongrass notes on the finish, this Puligny punches above its village cru status. (NM)
This is a ripe yet cool effort with its pretty and well-layered mix of white flowers, green fruit wet stone aromas. There is a lovely sense of refinement and energy to the medium-bodied flavors that possess a silky mouth feel before terminating in a distinctly mineral-inflected and lingering finish that exhibits mild austerity. This is a terrific Puligny villages and well-worth your attention. *Outstanding Top Value*
