This rich white is balanced by fresh acidity, which defines its flavors of apple, lemon cake, butterscotch and nut oil. An intense version, this lingers with an aftertaste of spice and graphite. Best from 2015 through 2023. (BS)
Again there is strong reduction and sulfur rendering the nose impossible to assess. As is usually the case with the typical Morgeot there is plenty of size and weight if not really much in the way of refinement to the muscular and imposing medium weight plus flavors that are ripe, exotic and delicious. There is also plenty of mouth coating dry extract that buffer the acidity on the naturally sweet finale.
(from the lieu-dit Petit Clos): Pale, bright yellow. Tight aromas of pineapple, nutmeg, lichee, honey and menthol. Juicy but a bit hard-edged, with a slightly bitter quality to the citrus, anise and white pepper flavors. (ST)
