Allen Meadows of Burghound reports on the 2014 vintage: "Like many of her colleagues the laconic Anne Sigaut told me that 2014 was a "vintage that scared us on several different levels but in the end nothing really negative happened. In particular I was seriously concerned about the Suzukii risk and while it caused us to sort even more carefully than we otherwise would have, which isn't necessarily a bad thing by the way, the extra care turned out not to be necessary. We chose to wait until the 17th of September to begin the harvest and brought in relatively clean fruit though we did have a few parcels that required more than the others. There were good ripeness levels that delivered between 12 and 13% in terms of potential alcohols. Otherwise there really isn't much to report as the vinifications were easy and there were no problems with the malos either. I like the style of the vintage and for those clients who enjoy youthful fruit in their wines they will like the 2014s as they should be approachable young." As is typically the case at this address, Sigaut indicated that the '14s will be bottled without fining or filtration."
