Pinot Blanc is always an underrated varietal in my opinion, and in the hands of a great producer like Albert Boxler, the resultant wine is outstanding. All of the fruit for this wine hails from the "Grand Cru" vineyard Brand, though unfortunately Pinot Blanc does not qualify for Grand Cru status, hence it is not labelled as such. The wine is subtle, but complex, with almond and honeydew aromas giving way to a palate full of depth and texture, and yet balanced with crisp acidity and lift on the finish. This is easily one of my favorite expressions of the varietal!
