Jean Arthaud is a part of the protected Creme de Cassis de Bourgogne IGP appellation, which means it can only be produced in Burgundy using fruits grown within the region. The fruit is steeped for a five week maceration time in 192 proof alcohol, then filtered and sweetened with beet sugar before bottling. It's one of the most elegant and concentrated liqueurs we've ever carried and it strikes the perfect balance of sugar, acidity, and alcohol. For serious conoisseurs and cocktail fans.

A high quality Cassis from Burgundy. There is a nice balance between currant , sweet and tart flavors. It is not too sweet and has a nice creamy mouthfeel. There is a very subtle savory undertone. It will make a great Kir and could be enjoyable on ice.
