Tight and linear Chardonnay with cooked apple, vanilla and stone aromas and flavors. Medium body, dense center palate and plenty of fruit. Drink or hold.
The Chablis-like 2015 Chardonnay does not see any malolactic, and only a small amount (25%) of new oak. The result is a premier cru Chablis-like wine that captures the freshness, displaying touches of poached pear, white peach, loads of minerality and floral notes. Drink it over the next several years. A winery often confused with the Stags Leap Wine Cellars, but owned by the giant Treasuries Wines consortium, they are doing some creative work and making extremely interesting wines. (RP)
