From the winery: "This is the first vintage in which the 480 regrafted (from Syrah to Viognier) vines in our vineyard's lowest section kicked in, resulting in our biggest yield to date (still not cresting 800 bottles). As the latest area to ripen, they added energy and focus, foiling its ample florality and supple mouthfeel. We again barrel fermented in neutral wood to enhance the texture, and bottled it a bit earlier than previous efforts to consolidate its freshness and minerality. This is our fifth release of this unanticipated white wine delight in the Baker Lane portfolio and we are thrilled that we have at least a tiny bit more to share.
