(raised in two-thirds stainless and the rest in cask, 50% of which was new) A pungent nose is composed of white and yellow orchard fruit with top notes of petrol and the barest hint of wood. There is an attractive mouth feel to the nicely intense and detailed flavors that possess average depth but solid persistence. This is already approachable but should be capable of repaying a few years of cellaring. Drink: 2017+
Very fresh and confident and relaxed. Very racy. Much better than many producers’ village wines. Drink 2015 - 2020. (JR)
The 2013 Bourgogne is a Chardonnay coming from two parcels in Saint Aubin and Santenay that is already in bottle. It has a light honeysuckle-scented bouquet that is simple but nicely defined. The palate is balanced, quite fat in the mouth with a soft, pillowy, brioche-tinged finish. (NM)
A hint of vanilla joins the apple and lemon flavors in this racy white. Just a tad austere on the grapefruit-peel finish. Drink now through 2018. (BS)
