Good medium-deep yellow. Rather closed aromas of pineapple, crushed stone and smoky oak. Concentrated flavors of apple and orange oil show good lift and supporting minerality. Sharply chiseled, firmly built yet harmonious already, this dense, tactile wine finishes firm and long, with a zesty rocky quality and excellent grip. Serious, very well-made Perrières with no easy sweetness. (ST)
An attractively layered nose combines overt floral notes with those of citrus peel, mineral reduction and soft spice hints. The equally sleek and refined flavors reflect even more minerality that continues onto the relatively powerful and slightly warm finish. This is an atypically big Perrières and I found that the gas accentuated the backend warmth so I would suggest serving this on the cool side and in a decanter if you're going to try a bottle young. *Outstanding* Drink: 2020+
