Beautiful dark-fruit and wet-stone aromas follow through to a medium body, integrated and polished tannins and a fresh, fruity finish. Always a mineral undertone to this.
The 2014 La Pointe is soft, pliant and quite tasty, all of which make it an excellent choice for drinking now and over the next few years. Ripe red stone fruit, cedar, tobacco and dried flowers add lovely shades of nuance in this open-knit, inviting Pomerol. (AG)
Pretty, with open-knit raspberry and black cherry compote notes, lined with a modest hint of fruitcake. The silky finish has a graceful feel. Shows good purity, but remains a touch shy on depth in the end. (JM, Web-2017)
