Here the wood influence is more modulated and while hardly invisible, it marks the aromatics in a less obvious manner. An elegant, fresh and dense nose of notably ripe black Pinot fruit leads to generous, rich and admirably concentrated flavors that are supported by buried tannins and excellent length on the moderately toasty and mouth coating finish.
Good deep, bright red. Musky raspberry, chocolate and minerals on the nose. At once sweet and sappy, with lovely mid-palate depth and more cut and minerality than the Chambolle. Finishes perfumed, sweet and long, with nicely ripe tannins. (ST)
