Importer's Notes: "Berries, berries, berries. Strawberries, raspberries, and even a hint of cranberry which gives this dry rosé an edge. That, and the lovely minerality one comes to expect from this very special region Wachau region of Austria. Hopped up on terraced vineyards along the Danube, these Zweigelt grapes dig in their roots and pull up those lovely hints of slate and stone. Zweigelt is very rare for this region; it is primarily planted (and known for) its Gruner Veltliner and Riesling. But winemaker Karl Holzapfel knows a good thing when he sees it."

Delicious, dry, crunchy rose of Zweigelt. Lots of juicy, tart forest berries, bramble leaf, alpine strawberry and orange peel. So quaffable and refreshing. One of my favorites this summer.
