The 2014 Oregon Pinot Noir, which comes from fruit sourced from around the state, has smudged red berry fruit on the nose that is commendably clean at this price. The palate is medium-bodied with soft red cherry and strawberry fruit, a little rough around the edges, but with good depth and length. I doubt you will find a better Pinot Noir for under twenty dollars. (NM)

Deep red. Musky cherry and red berries on the nose, backed by subtle herb and spice nuances. Tightly focused and spicy on the palate, offering bitter cherry and red currant flavors given depth by a suggestion of dark chocolate. Finishes clean, tight and quite rigid for the vintage, displaying dusty tannins and an echo of cherry pit. (JR)

Bright and tangy, with juicy raspberry and lime flavors on a sleek frame, lingering nicely. (HS)
