The delicious, aromatic, juicy and showy carbonic maceration red 2016 Jarrarte Maceración Carbónica is a lot more serious than what the name might suggest to many. The nose is simply spectacular and the palate is soft, gentle, approachable but not banal. It fermented in open concrete vats with full clusters and was bottled young and unoaked. 38,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2017. (LG)
